Difference Between Nike Celso Plus & Celso

The Nike "swoosh" logo is nearly as ubiquitous throughout the world as McDonald's golden arches. Nike, a branded shoe and apparel company, makes team uniforms, shoes and athletic apparel for men, women, boys and girls. The company's Celso and Celso Plus collection are sandals and shoes designed for men and women. The two collections differ in available styles and construction material.

Men's Styles

The Nike Celso collection features three men's thong styles: Nike Celso, Nike Celso City and Nike Celso Solarsoft. The Celso thong and Celso City thongs are designed for strolling on a beach, though the leather version of the Celso City thong can also be worn in more formal settings. The Celso Solarsoft thong is designed to be worn in casual social settings. The Celso Thong Plus only comes in one style, a thick-soled thong designed for beach, pool and patio wear.

Women's Styles

The Nike Celso comes in two women's styles: Nike Celso Girl City Superheel shoe, and Nike Celso Girl City thong. The Superheel is a platform shoe designed for comfort. It's a versatile shoe that can be worn for numerous casual social outings. The Girl City thong has a slip-on fit and its leather construction makes it ideal for both casual and more formal settings. The Celso Plus only offers one style: the Women's Celso Thong Plus, which is a casual shoe for poolside and beach wear.

Construction

Though both the Nike Celso and Nice Celso Plus collections feature phylon rubber soles and molded and contoured EVA midsoles, there are some differences in construction material. The Celso Plus collection features a Mitobuck and neoprene synthetic upper, a water-resistant and quick-drying material that's designed to keep thongs dry and feet comfortable. Another difference between the two collections is that the men's and women's Celso City thong offer a premium leather upper and midsole with hand-stitched details, which is not available on the Celso Plus collection.

Colors

Differences also exist in the colors available in the two collections. The Celso Plus collection only offers a black and white combination in the women's style, and black/dark gray, and brown/beechtree in the men's style. The Celso collection has a wider variety of colors. The Celso Girl City Superheel is available in black, dark gray, champagne and white, and the Celso City men's thong comes in black, black/dark shadow, baroque brown and light chocolate. The Celso men's thong is available in black/dark gray, baroque brown/beechtree and black/white-varsity red. The Celso Solarsoft men's thong comes exclusively in a midnight navy/dark gray and white combination.
