Vintage kicks are a great way to make a statement with your outfit. Even when wearing a modern, up-to-date outfit, vintage shoes can help give your outfit a more classic, retro feel. Browse online. Nelda's Vintage Clothing (see resources) contains various vintage shoes as well as other accessories.
2Check out your local thrift stores. Thrift stores tend to carry lots of vintage items, including kicks.
3Search Craigslist or eBay (see resources). These are great directories to look for vintage shoes. Look in your area as well as nearby areas as long as you are willing to travel to pick them up.
4Create your own. Take a pair of old shoes and add vintage accessories to it. These include, but are not limited to, vintage accessories, ribbons, fabric paint and whatever else you can think of. Vintage accessories can be found on vintage clothing store websites. Be sure to use fabric glue.
