How to Make Exotic High Heel Shoes

Transforming a basic pair of heels into unique, exotic footwear does not need to be difficult or expensive. Designer shoes may come with a budget-busting price tag. Creating a custom look that coordinates perfectly with a special ensemble can stretch fashion dollars.

Instructions

Creating embellished shoe

Begin with a basic open-toe, high-heel shoe in a neutral color.

Cut fabric into 1-inch strips and tie to upper strap of shoe.

Wrap fabric strips around upper strap area of shoe. Secure ends with permanent craft glue.

4




Add extra support to fabric by tying on and wrapping 3 mm craft ribbon over top. Secure ends with permanent craft glue.

5




Attach silk flower or other embellishment to center of strap using craft glue.

6




Attach decorative gems to heel with permanent craft glue.

7




For a different look, attach clip-on earring or vintage pin to front strap.
