How to Wear Over Knee Boots

Over knee boots have recently become more popular after being worn excessively by celebrities and trendsetters like Sienna Miller and Kate Moss. Because they are so high, over knee boots are often considered rather provocative and sexy. If you don't feel comfortable showing too much skin or wearing such a provocative type of footwear, there are many different ways in which you can wear over knee boots and still look sophisticated, stylish and even conservative. The possibilities with wearing over knee boots are many.

Instructions

Wear them with tight, skinny jeans. Skinny jeans will be easier to fit into tight, over knee boots. Top off the outfit with a crisp white dress shirt or fitted sweater for a sophisticated yet sexy look.

Wear them over leggings and a loose sweater. Sometimes over knee boots can be viewed as being very provocative, but you override this fact by keeping the rest of your outfit fairly conservative. The leggings are tight enough to fit into the high boots, and a sweater over it will provide coverage and warmth.

Wear them with dark, opaque stockings and tweed shorts. If you pair the over knee boots with just shorts, you may feel like you're showing too much skin. Therefore, adding stockings to the look will give you coverage, but still enable you to maintain a sense of style.

Wear them with panty hose and a thigh-length dress. Panty hose will make your legs feel slippery, thus making it easier to slide on the over knee boots. A thigh-length dress is the perfect length if you want to show off your stylish boots.

Wear them with a long slitted skirt or dress. This is a good option if you don't feel comfortable wearing shorts or short skirts and dresses. The length of the skirt or dress will keep you covered, but the subtle slit will allow your over knee boots to show occasionally.
