Boot cut jeans are not as fitted as skinny jeans but they are also not as wide as wide leg jeans. Each type of cut provides you with a different look when you wear them. Typically, when you want to wear a pair of jeans tucked inside ankle boots, your best bet is to go with a pair of skinny jeans that are fitted around the ankle. However, if you do not have a pair of skinny jeans, you can achieve the look of jeans in your ankle boots by pairing your shoes with boot cut jeans and a few little tips to keep your pants from coming out of your boots and/or bunching in an unflattering way.
Instructions
- 1
Attach straps to the bottom of your boot cut jeans. These straps attach to two sides of your jeans with an elastic band that goes underneath your foot to keep your jeans down and prevent them from bunching out of the top of your boots. You can find these straps in most shoe and department stores.
2Tie a rubber band around the ankles of your jeans to keep them in your boots and to prevent them from riding up as you walk. The rubber band serves as a mechanism to keep your jeans down and make them look like they belong tucked inside your ankle boots.
3Place a pair of socks over the bottom of your jeans. If you do not have straps or a rubber band, a pair of short socks will keep your jeans from riding up and coming out of the top of your boots. You need a pair of ankle socks for this since your boots are short; you do not want your socks coming out of the top of your ankle boots.
