What to Wear With Kangaroo Shoes? ~ Women Shoes Advisory

Sneakers are a classic in the fashion world and Kangaroos are part of it. The sneakers hit the scene in the 1980s but have been rehashed. The brightly colored Roos work fine with jeans, capris or a great pair of running pants.

Kangaroos work well with most pants (not business trousers, though). When wearing a pair of jeans with super-bright Roos, aim for a pair with a nice boot cut. The top of the pant should hang comfortably over the ankle of the sneaker. Dark leggings and yoga pants should go for the same fit as boot-cut jeans. If you are going with leggings, aim for a pair that end at the ankle so there is a bit of a cut between the pant and the sneaker. Shoe a little ankle.

A light denim capri works as well and will play well off the bright and bold colors of the Roo. If you are going with a capri, aim for super-low socks to make the entire look mesh without a strange sock alien coming out of the shoe.

When wearing a Roo sneaker, keep clothes simple. The Roos are so bright that a black, white or neutral-color top will help to balance the bold color of the sneakers. Don't match the hot pink of the Roo to your top. It probably won't work. Any top is acceptable for these sneakers from classic T-shirts to tanks to buttondowns. It really is a free-for-all.

Color coordinating is not necessary with a Kangaroo, but if you feel you must throw in a splash of color to balance the sneaker, you can match a handbag, scarf or belt. It is better to bring the light colors together in small doses. Everyone will notice, but no one will be overpowered by the color matching. A lime green bag works wonders with the pink and lime nylon Roos.
