How to Tie Double Layered Converse Shoes

Converse has been creating shoes since 1908. Basketball shoes were the first type that Converse manufactured. Converse shoes have the nickname "Chucks" after Chuck Taylor, who joined the company in the 1920s and was at one time a professional basketball player with the Harlem Globetrotters. There are many Converse styles to please your tastes. The double layered Converse has two tongues and two sets of holes for shoe laces. This style of Converse is available in low and high-top styles.

Instructions

Lift and hold the inside layer, the one that is closest to the foot when the shoe is worn, out from the tongue with your hand. Insert the tip of the shoelace into the grommet from the right side of the outside of the shoe, slide across the tongue of the shoe, and thread through the inside of the left grommet hole.

Pull the tips of the shoelace out toward you until the tips are even. Lace the rest of the inner layer in a crisscross pattern until reaching the top. Tie the inner layer in a knot or bow.

Place the tip of the other shoelaces on the inside of the outer layer right side grommet. Pull the tip through the grommet and bring the tip over the top of the grommet. Place the tip in the outside of the left grommet and pull through. Line the tips up to ensure the same length of lace for each side.

Lace the rest of the outer layer of the Converse in a crisscross pattern. Tie the tops in a knot or bow.
