How to Lace Sneakers and Hide the Laces

How to Lace Sneakers and Hide the Laces

If you are looking for a stylish new way to tie your shoes, or just hate the look of shoelaces, try hiding your shoelaces. Though this will take some preparatory work (and will leave your sneakers less than secure) if this is the look you want, you can achieve it with a special lacing technique and alternate use of your shoe's tongue.

Instructions

    1

Thread the lace through the bottom eyelets, making sure both ends are even.

    2

Pull the tongue out completely and perform a regular criss-cross lace against your sock, until the laces are about halfway up the shoe.

    3

Thread the lace through the loop in the back of the tongue. If there is no loop on the back of the tongue, wrap it around the whole tongue to secure the tongue against your foot.

    4

Continue criss-crossing until you reach the last-but-one eyelet. Then tie a regular shoelace knot. Fold the top of the tongue backwards and tuck it behind your laces to secure it. Your shoes are now tied, and your laces are almost completely hidden.
