How to Fix Thong Sandals

Thong sandals are popular for the summer months when you want to keep cool. However, from time to time your thong sandals might break in one of two ways; either the strap breaks on the top of the sandal, or the small knob that holds the strap to the base of the sandal breaks through the hole and comes loose. Both of these problems are fairly easy to fix. Just a little glue and your thong sandals can be functional again.

Instructions

Clean the thong sandals before you apply any glue in order to remove any dirt from the sandals that can cause the glue to not adhere properly.

Take the two ends of the broken strap and apply a small amount of super glue to them. Press the ends together and hold for 30 seconds before releasing. Allow to dry for an hour before wearing.

Pull the broken strap through the enlarged hole on the base of the flip flop.

Fill the hole with super glue to create a smaller hole. Feed the strap back through the tacky glue and make sure that the strap fits snugly in the hole.

Allow to dry for an hour before wearing.
