How to Remove Scuff Marks from White Shoes

How to Remove Scuff Marks from White Shoes

White shoes are bright and commonly worn in the spring and summer months. The problem with white shoes is that they shoe every little mark. If you get scuff marks on your white shoes, they can look dirty. You will want to remove them as soon as possible so that they will look as good as new again. This way you can get good use out of your shoes for a long time to come. These methods work with any type of white shoe clean, including silk and leather.

Instructions

    1

Take a wash cloth and wet it with warm water. Place one drip of dish soap on the wash cloth and wipe down the shoes. This will clean the shoes off so that they are easier to work with. You will then be able to concentrate on the scuff marks.

    2

Take off the cap from a bottle of bleach. Pour some bleach in the cap and then dip a toothbrush in it. Run the toothbrush across the scuff marks. Repeat this until all of the scuff marks are gone. If your shoe is an off white, you will want to dilute the bleach with some water. Make sure you dry the shoes off as soon as you have finished. Use a towel or place them in the sun.

    3

Find some toothpaste in your home that contains a whitening agent. Put some on your old toothbrush and scrub the scuff mark. Wipe away the toothpaste with a wet wash cloth and then dry the shoes off.

    4

Spray some Spray and Wash on the scuff marks and let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Wipe away with a wet wash rag. The scuff marks should be gone. Make sure you dry your shoes in the sun or with a towel.

    5

Buy a bottle of white vinegar and pour some on a dry wash cloth. Rub over the scuff marks. Wipe the shoes off with plain water afterward so your shoes don't smell like vinegar. Dry the shoes with a towel.

    6

Use a cap of nail polish remover to remove the scuff marks. Pour it on to a paper towel and wipe back and forth until the scuff marks disappear. Then wipe the area clean with a wet paper towel and dry in the sun.
