How to Design Your Own Stamped Shoes

How to Design Your Own Stamped Shoes

Dress up plain canvas or rubber shoes with colorful stamps. Stamps allow you to personalize your shoes with shapes and images. Sometimes it is difficult to find the right pair of shoes to match your outfit. Make your shoes stand out from the rest by designing your shoes and stamping them yourselves. Once you have chosen a design, use permanent inks that will not run or fade when wet. Overlap or scatter your stamp designs for different looks.

Instructions

    1

Position the stamp over the inkpad. Press the stamp down evenly on the pad.

    2

Press the stamp on the card stock in a straight up and down motion. Do this several times, one for each stamp you need. Allow the ink to dry for fifteen minutes.

    3

Cut the stamps out of the cardstock as closely as you can to the image border.

    4

Place the shoes on your workspace or table. Stuff the shoes with tissue paper. Fill the shoes out so they look like your feet are in them.

    5

Place double-sided, or folded single-sided, tape on the back of the stamps.

    6

Position the cardstock stamps on the shoes moving them around until you are happy with the design you have made.

    7

Remove the cardstock stamps one at a time and replace them by stamping the image directly on the shoe. Blot the stamps on a paper plate, then stamp the shoe. This will remove excess ink. Allow each shoe to dry for an hour before moving them.
