How to Get a Coffee Stain Out of Leather Boots

How to Get a Coffee Stain Out of Leather Boots

Leather boots are a fashion statement that will last for several seasons when properly cleaned and cared for. This means locating the correct products to deal with any given stain. Dripping coffee onto your favorite leather boots is not cause for panic, even if the leather is lightly colored. Instead of running out and purchasing unnecessary "specialty" cleaner for your leather boots, use readily available products to remove the coffee stains.

Dab at the stain with a paper towel to remove any excess coffee from the leather boots, if the stain is new.

Create a mixture of one part warm water and one part white vinegar. Wet the corner of a lint-free cloth with the mixture.

Blot at the stain, beginning at the edges and working your way to the center, with the vinegar mixture. Do not rub the stain with the cloth, as this will work the coffee into the leather even further.

Continue to dab at the stain with the vinegar-covered cloth until it is completely removed. Re-wet the cloth with the vinegar mixture, if necessary.

Dampen a second lint-free cloth with plain water and dab at the affected area to remove any vinegar residue from the leather boots.

Set the boots onto a towel and allow them to dry before wearing.
