Slingbacks have long been a staple of women's fashion. While they may be acceptable for business attire, their acceptability largely depends on the style and color of the shoe as well as what the shoe is paired with. Appropriate Work Slingbacks
Sling-backs are made in a variety of different styles and colors. Some come embellished with jewels and designs, however these are not appropriate for work. When choosing a slingback, it is important that you pick neutral colored heels in navy, black or beige. If you pick shoes with embellishments, make sure it is very minimal and not distracting. Pair your slingbacks with your work clothing. Your neutral sling backs are appropriate when worn with knee length skirts, blouses and work suits. Beige slingbacks will work with more summery work suits like white, peach and pink. Your black and navy slingbacks will work with darker clothing such as navy, black, deep orange, purple and red.
How To Wear Them
Always wear slingbacks with a nice pair of hose. Wear them with beige hose when you wear lighter colors. Although beige hose are also appropriate with darker colors, black hose can also look quite nice when paired with black shoes and deep darker colors such as red, purple and orange.
