The concept for Rocket Dog Shoes was created in California in 1997 by two shoe entrepreneurs with a penchant for funky womens shoes with a relaxed feel.

Rocket Dog was named for Max, a co-founders canine companion who raced about the beach with boundless energy.

The womens sandal was their first design. They now produce mules, flip-flops, boots and shoes for young men and women, as well as children.

Originally founded in California, the company opened a branch in England and is now a worldwide footwear brand with strong influences in European, Mediterranean and South American countries.
